Gratitude Village Colorado welcomes Charles Durrett, nationally acclaimed architect, author and cohousing pioneer, for an evening celebrating the power of intentional community, sustainability & connected living.

Durrett, who helped introduce the concept of cohousing to the United States and has authored 16 influential books on the subject, will give a keynote presentation on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Gather at Lakeside. His talk will explore the foundations of cohousing, spotlight his latest work, One Life, Live It!, which chronicles the story of Solheimar—a thriving intergenerational, neuroinclusive community in Iceland, and highlight the launch of Gratitude Village, Denver's newest cohousing community.

The evening starts off with an author meet & greet, book signing and snacks, cookies and soft drinks before Durrett begins his 50 minute presentation which is followed by Q&A and community discussion. This is an ideal event for individuals, families, housing & disability advocates, policymakers and anyone curious about more sustainable & connected ways to live.
