Right now everything I have put forth is a vision . . . a vision for what could be. The final layout, design, house types and styles will be determined by the original 20 founding members (or more if we end up with more by October 1).
Originally, I envisioned three sizes/prices of "for purchase" homes: smaller condos or ADU homes (ave 700 sq feet) either connected to the common house or in the backyard or basement of a single family home, mid-sized townhomes (ave 1100 sq ft) and larger single family homes (ave 1500 sq feet). The townhomes and single family homes are visioned as having the option for either a basement or backyard ADU (accessory dwelling unit or mother-in-law apartment) that could be rented. Those were the original "rental" options.
We have a group of 4 retired women friends who joined us last month who no longer want to own a home and are looking for long term rental options which is why we are making that a distinct option. There will be a limited number (how many, I don't know yet although 6-12 were proposed numbers at our last board meeting) because a large number of renters affects the overall community sense of the neighborhood. This is a brand new option so we don't have the details finalized yet and probably won't have them until the end of September after our board and founders have met with Charles following his public presentation.
