Welcome Our Newest Founding Members

One of the most exciting parts of creating a cohousing community is getting to know the people who are helping bring it to life. Every new Founding Member adds their own experiences, passions, and dreams to the emerging culture of Gratitude Village. Today, we're delighted to introduce Monica and Megan, who recently joined our growing community. Their story reflects many of the values that draw people to cohousing: a desire for deeper connection, mutual support, and a neighborhood where relationships matter. We are grateful to welcome them and excited for the gifts, perspectives, and energy they will bring to Gratitude Village.

Gratitude Village

One of the most exciting parts of building Gratitude Village is watching the community take shape long before the homes are built.

Every new member brings unique experiences, talents, perspectives, and dreams. Together, they are helping create the culture, character, and sense of belonging that will ultimately make Gratitude Village more than a collection of homes—it will become a neighborhood.

This month, we're delighted to welcome two new Founding Members to the community: Monica and Megan.

Meet Monica

Monica has called Colorado home for more than 30 years and brings a wealth of experience in collaboration, stewardship, and community-building.

Most recently, she co-owned a 20-acre horse ranch and dog boarding business, an experience that reinforced her appreciation for caring for land, sharing responsibility, and working together toward common goals. Professionally, she has spent much of her career helping teams deliver complex solutions, while also serving on several nonprofit boards focused on community benefit and collective decision-making.

Outside of work, Monica enjoys cooking, baking, decorating elaborate cookies, playing board games, learning the ukulele, camping, kayaking, and traveling. She is also the proud companion of two small pups, Tucker and Cassidy.

Although Monica first learned about intentional communities decades ago, it was only recently that she discovered the growing number of successful cohousing communities emerging across Colorado. After experiencing the challenges of creating meaningful connections in traditional neighborhoods, she was drawn to a model where community is not left to chance but intentionally created.

What excites Monica most about Gratitude Village?

The opportunity to be part of a neighborhood where connection, collaboration, and community are shared values from the very beginning.

Meet Megan

Megan joins Gratitude Village from Columbus, Ohio, where she teaches yin yoga and works at a small law firm. She is currently pursuing additional training in psychedelic integration and somatic yoga and has a deep interest in personal growth, healing, and lifelong learning.

Her hobbies include crochet, journaling, arts and crafts, reading, bird watching, camping, hiking, cycling, and exploring hot springs and saunas. By her own admission, she is always enrolled in some type of class, workshop, or training simply because she loves learning.

For Megan, cohousing has long been more than an interesting idea—it has felt like a calling.

She has dreamed for years of living in a community where neighbors know and support one another, where sustainability is woven into everyday life, and where people come together around a shared purpose.

What excites Megan most about Gratitude Village?

The opportunity to help create a community built around connection, sustainability, belonging, and shared values.

The Village Grows

One of the beautiful things about cohousing is that the community begins long before move-in day. Every conversation, every shared meal, every workshop, and every new member helps shape the culture of the future village.

Monica and Megan each bring unique gifts, experiences, and perspectives to our growing community, and we're grateful to have them on this journey.

Please join us in giving them a warm welcome.
